Financial Peace University
You may know Dave Ramsey from his nationwide radio show. Many people have successfully used Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University to help them get a better understanding of their money and to work their way out of debt. Havelock UMC will host a sessionof the financial peace university beginning Sept. 21. The class will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesdays and will go through Nov. 23.
Click here to register for the class, or go to www.daveramsey.com. Click on “Classes” and then on “Find a Class.” The class is listed under “Havelock United.” Participants will be able to purchase the materials needed for the class there.
New Bible Study
Our adult Sunday school class will start the study “Invitation to the Old Testament” on Sept. 11. This study will provide the opportunity to learn in-depth information about key figures in the Old Testament and to see how the events of that era impacted the times of Jesus and, eventually, our own lives.
Want to take part? Contact the church by Aug. 14 to order your book. The cost is $13.
Gather with us to worship our risen Savior each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school for all ages begins again at 10:45 a.m. beginning Sept. 11.
And watch for information about a new contemporary worship experience coming in October!
We at Havelock United Methodist Church have been proud to serve our northeast Lincoln, Nebraska, neighborhood for 125 years. Much has changed about our community since the first church structure was consecrated in 1890, but our resolve to be the hands and feet of Christ in today’s world has not wavered. We sum up our mission as three important points:
- Love God
- Love our neighbors
- Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
