Our Pastor

Rev. Amy Seifert

Amy - red stolePastor Amy started serving at Havelock United Methodist Church in July 2015. A native of Leavenworth, Kansas, she earned her bachelor’s degree in music education from Baker University, a United Methodist-affiliated school in Baldwin City, Kansas, in 1993.

Pastor Amy was ordained in 2014 in the Rocky Mountain Conference in Colorado.

She has served churches in Minnesota, Missouri and, just prior to Havelock UMC, for 14  years at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in St. George, Utah, where she discerned she had a call to full-time ordained ministry. She served Shepherd of the Hills as music director and office manager before beginning the ordination process. Under her leadership, the church’s choir grew from fewer than 10 members to a 30-voice group that sang each Sunday in worship as well as in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Tabernacle and as part of music festivals in Lincoln Center in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Vatican in Rome and on Normandy Beach and Paris in France.

Pastor Amy has a husband, a daughter in college in Colorado and a son in high school. She welcomes guests to contact her to learn more about Havelock UMC and its many ministries. She can be reached at aseifert@greatplainsumc.org. Call her via the church office at 402-466-6736.
