7th Annual 4th of July Block Party
This July 4th will be out 7th annual Community Block Party, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, held in the HUMC courtyard. Each year the attendance has increased and we are expecting an excellent turn-out again this year.
Because many in the community are single parent and low income families we feel it is important to offer this wholesome, fun activity at no charge. There is a free lunch offered to all. We will have games, a bounce house, water balloon toss, and a visit from Fire Station #5. You can also try your hand at fly tying for fun. We will also hold a raffle for the children. This year where will also be a clown for entertainment!
We would appreciate donations of 2 liter bottles of pop for games, and any small household items or trinkets for our white elephant table. Cash donations would also be appreciated.
We need help setting up immediately following the church service. Come dressed accordingly and patriotically. We will need help with games, between the hours of 1pm and 3pm. Afterwords we will need you to help tear down and clean up. Please see Sandy Carlson for sign-up.
120th Anniversary of Havelock United Methodist Church
The Worship Committee would appreciate your participation in our preparations for celebrating this year as the 120th anniversary of our church arrives.
Do you have photos from past years that you are willing to bring to church so they can be scanned? All scanning will be done at the church. Please make certain your name is on any photos you bring, so they can be returned to you.
