The Word, Praise and Prayer

A special choir performed “Just Over in the Glory Land” (CCLI #3564291) as part of our worship service commemorating the saints who have left us in the past year on Nov. 5, 2017. Special music is an important component of our worship experience at Havelock UMC.

Havelock crowd

Havelock United Methodist Church invites you to join us in worship each Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

Our worship time includes hymns, prayer, special music, Scripture readings and a liturgy that includes an opportunity for the congregation to participate.

Our praise band — Ignite! — leads some of our worship songs, while the organ accompanies the congregation on others for a truly blended worship experience!

The Rev. Todd Karges provides the sermon each week on themes that tie in to our Wesleyan heritage using events from history, pop culture and, of course, the Bible to help us understand how we can grow in our unified mission to love God, love our neighbors and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!

Times are a Changing

The vote to change worship time was 69 for 10 a.m. and 15 for 11 a.m. So we’re going to change worship time from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. beginning July 7th, first Sunday in July. Sunday School will be at 9 a.m. We’ll try this for a few months and see how it goes.

Starting July 7th, 2019
  • 9:00 am – Sunday School
  • 10:00 am – Worship
